Daddy Changing Markey's Poopy Diaper

Daddy had the pleasure of changing one of Markey's poopy diapers. As you can see it must of smelt, since daddy has his shirt up over his nose. Daddy needs to get use to the dirty diapers as there will be many more. Actually daddy has been very helpful and supportive. He is an awesome daddy! (The yellow around Markey's stomach is the biliblanket. It doesn't hurt her.)

First Doctor Visit

After leaving the hospital on Friday with Markey, we had to report back on Saturday for blood work. Markey has a slight case of jaundice and has been put on the the biliblanket for at least three days. This is not uncommon especially for babies that are breast feed. We will be going back to the doctor on Tuesday for more blood work and hopefully we can leave the biliblanket behind.

Mommy at 39 Weeks

Only one more week until Bean makes her grand entrance. Dr. N. is stating that Bean will be a large baby. For mommy's sake we are hoping she is between 7lbs and 8lbs. We are wonder if she will have the Samp hands and feet? We also wonder if she will have a full head of dark hair like her mommy?

"Bean's" Nursery

This is the beautiful dresser Grandpa Wayne made for Bean. It will also serve as our changing table. Don't mind mommy...she doesn't like her photo taken.

"Bean's" Nursery

This is Bean's crib with her bedding. Daddy still needs to attach the mobile. We are going to spell her name out above the crib with white letters. Below Bean's name will be a horizontal 12 month picture frame, displaying pictures of Bean as she grow.

Preparing "Bean's" Nursery

Daddy spent a lot of time getting the nursery ready for Bean. As we all know daddy is a perfectionist! He painted the ceiling white and the walls yellow. Our theme for the nursery is A B C's, 1 2 3's, and animals.

The Waiting Game

These past nine months have gone by quickly, but now we are playing the waiting game. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of "Baby Bean." This is the nickname her cousin, Isaiah and her late poppa, Mark gave her. Our actual due date is Monday, May 12, however we are hoping "Bean" will make her grand entrance as soon as possible. Mommy is ready for "Bean" to be here and so is daddy. Daddy wants "Bean" here because he is hoping mommy won't be so moody after her arrival. Mommy wants "Bean" here because she wants daddy to calm down. We are both very happy to start our new family! We will keep you posted.
